our introduction

A brief history of NGO

We wish to bring back relief & joy into the lives of those afflicted with Neurological maladies. We started our journey in 1997. A major part of our initial work was done when our Founder was closely associated with KEM Hospital, Mumbai & the distinguished team of Neurologists & Neurosurgeons there. Through his efforts, collaborations were built with Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, Lioness Club of Breach Candy, Hargobind Foundation & Dr. A.V. Baliga Trust who donated various sophisticated equipment. This led to the formation of the largest Epilepsy Surgery Centre in Maharashtra. CT-guided Stereotaxy (an advanced minimally invasive brain surgery technique) was introduced in Mumbai for public hospital patients.

A Micro Neurosurgery laboratory was initiated and state-of-the-art Deep Brain Stimulation (Brain Pacemaker for treating Parkinson’s patients) was done in a public hospital for the first time in India. Through the Pediatric Neurosurgery Section & aegis of Mr. Vincent, the concept of a Child-Friendly ward was introduced in Municipality Hospitals.
